LITTLE UNDERHILL
Little Underhill is part of the original complex of farm buildings pertaining to Underhill House – it was originally the stables and hay loft of the farm. Today it is a beautifully presented four bedroom holiday cottage with its own private garden, and parking for up to four vehicles. The bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with superking bed, two further bedrooms with kingsize beds and a fourth bedroom with a bunkbed – of which the bottom tier is a double, the top, a single – so good for kids, or adults if required. The Cottage sleeps up to eight. Check in days are generally on Fridays or Mondays only with some flexibility for Wednesdays during low season. During Peak Season, bookings are a minimum of 4 days (Monday Check In) and 3 days (Friday Check In). Again, we can be more flexible during low season – but we NEVER accept bookings of less than two nights. Note we offer good discounts on stays of a week or longer.
The large farm house table in the Kitchen Diner comfortably seats ten, and can be expanded to twelve if required – plus we have cot and high chair for an infant – or you can bring your own.
There is a Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, whilst the kitchen features an Aga and dishwasher – as well as an induction ring for those who need it. Basic essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar and some milk to get you started come as standard. Seven day stays receive our welcome basket of goodies – fresh bread, home made jams, & free range eggs (when available).
The EV charger is available for guests use (22Kw, so pretty fast for a full charge) and billed at market rates, payable by cash or card.
Fresh linen and towels are provided; and TV, DVD and high speed broadband come as standard – there’s a selection of DVDs for those rainy days.
There’s a woodburning stove in the sitting room for those chilly winter evenings, and we supply all the logs you need as part of the package. And we have a table football game set up in the snug to get the heart racing when all the country quiet gets too much for you.
Use of the large patio and cottage garden with its expansive lawn and beautifully tended beds is exclusive to Little Underhill, along with free access to the childrens play area for supervised use. And there’s an opportunity to meet Arrabella and Aphrodite the llamas at some point in the stay should you wish it!
Rates and Availability
Prices range between £280 and £350 per night depending on length of stay and season. Call us if the calendar isn’t giving you the flexibility you want – we try our best to adapt to customers needs, within reason……..
